Sundae Recipes

Some suggested ice cream sundae recipes:

Ice Cream Shapes
From a rectangular carton of hard ice cream, have an adult cut a 1” thick slice of ice cream. Cut out your favorite shapes with a cookie cutter. You may even want to decorate them with sprinkles, chocolate chips, M&M’s or gel icing. Enjoy!

Ice Cream Sandwich
From a rectangular carton of hard ice cream, have an adult cut a 1” thick slice of ice cream. Put it on top of a plain cookie or graham cracker. Add a small bit of fudge sauce. Put another cookie or cracker on top and eat like a sandwich!

Parfait
Start with a tall, plastic cup (if you can, a see-through one!). Put in a scoop of ice cream, then put in your favorite fruit, then a little bit of topping (chocolate sauce, for example), then repeat again and add whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry. Yummmmm!

Black Cow
Scoop vanilla ice cream into a tall, plastic cup. Pour root beer over ice cream. Eat it with a long spoon and straw!

Banana Split
Start with a long dish (or you may use a round dish). Have an adult slice a banana in half from top to bottom (lengthwise). Place one piece of banana on each side of the dish. Scoop three balls of ice cream (can be three different flavors) and place next to each other in a row. Put a different topping on each scoop. Maybe you like strawberry sauce, chocolate sauce, pineapple chunks. Top each scoop with whipped cream and a cherry. Share this one with your friend!

Character Sundaes
Use our ice cream cone cups to create different designs, from animals to Martians to a snowman (or snowwoman!). Use fruit, blueberries, M&M’s, Oreo cookies, licorice sticks or gel icing. Invite your friends over and have an “Ice Cream Social”, creating all sorts of delicious, edible works of art!
